The Central government on Monday (May 26) notified the appointments of seven advocates, including one woman, as judges of various high courts in the country.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal took to 'X' regarding these appointments. The post states:

"In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President of India, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint the following Advocates as High Court Judges..."

1. Deepak Khot, Amit Seth and Pavan Kumar Dwivedi have been appointed as judges of Madhya Pradesh High Court.

2. Rohit Kapoor is appointed as additional judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

3. Subhash Upadhyay has been appointed as additional judge of Uttarakhand High Court

4. Smt Shamima Jahan has been appointed as additional judge of Guahati High Court.

5. Sachin Shivajirao Deshmukh has been appointed as additional judge of Bombay High Court.
